NEW YORK PIANIST MATT RAY has performed more than 2000 engagements worldwide, and has over fifteen years of professional experience. He has entertained for major corporations, celebrities, small businesses, and private events, and has performed and/or recorded with jazz stars such as Anita O'Day, and Allan Harris.

Matt's trio of piano, upright bass, and drums has toured the Caribbean and Central America for the U.S. State Department as part of the 1999-2000 Kennedy Center's Jazz Ambassadors program, and is in demand throughout the United States and Europe. In addition, Matt was honored in 1999 as a semi-finalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition.
Recently, Matt was featured in an extended engagement at the NY Bar at the top of the Park Hyatt Hotel In Tokyo, Japan - the very same venue featured in the movie 'Lost In Translation.'
Matt released his 2nd Trio CD 'Lost In New York', this year. The album has been climbing the jazz charts, and has received critical acclaim.
