Nick Russo
Guitarist, banjoist, composer, educator, Nick Russo, winner of the 2004 International Jazz Workshop at The BANFF Centre in Canada (director, Dave Douglas) & winner of the 2001 JAS academy in Aspen Colorado (director, Christian McBride), leads a life of full-time performing. He is currently the guitarist and banjoist with Vince Giordano and The Night Hawks, Victor Jones' Cultureversy, and many other groups in the NY area, including his own. Nick's talent and adaptability allow him to win over audiences of all sizes. He's just as great at blending in to an event as background entertainment, as performing as the main attraction. Available for events on solo guitar, solo banjo, or with his full band, Nick has the experience, and sound to make any event a success. Nick's new CD of all original music, "Ro", was released last year. It features: Mark Turner, Miles Griffith, Samir Chatterjee, Bryan Murray, Greg Glassman, Art Hirahara, Matt Clohesy, Nathan Peck, Ari Hoenig, Willard Dyson & David Pleasant. Facts about Nick:
